    thoughts in my room

    Sometimes I sit alone in my room
    Thinking about what I want to tell the world
    But my message loses it's meaning
    When i take a look at the messenger

    Sometimes I sit alone in my room
    Praying to God about things I need
    But while my right brain talks to God
    My left brain is deep in sleep

    Sometimes I sit alone in my room
    Reading the book of God's Holy promise
    But as my eyes scan familiar stories
    My heart has forgotten their meaning

    pretending

    He's tired of pretending
    He has so much to hide
    He seems so free and happy
    If they only knew the emptiness inside
    Alone carrying the weight of the world
    While striving to show that he is strong
    As his heart is tossed and whirlled
    Will he ever find where he belongs?

    The vital signs are there
    But is he still alive?
    He wishes someone would care
    Sadness streams from his eyes
